Ignition Fund

The Ignition Fund, organized by Innovation PEI, invites entrepreneurs in Prince Edward Island to apply for up to $25,000 in seed capital to support the launch of innovative business ventures or products, with a focus on unique offerings that have strong export potential; applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria, including a commitment to operate in PEI and must not have previously received certain types of funding, while also benefiting from professional support and the opportunity to pitch their ideas to an evaluation committee.

Eligibility Criteria

• Projects must be committed to establishing and operating on PEI
• The product or service developed must be innovative or unique and have strong export potential
• The project must not have already received a PEI Labour rebate from Innovation PEI
• Ineligible applicants include those who have received support from specific programs or have outstanding debts in the Province’s Central Default Registry
