About

The Zinemaldia Startup Challenge, organized by the San Sebastian Film Festival in collaboration with the Basque Government, invites European entrepreneurs and startups to submit innovative projects utilizing new technologies in the audiovisual sector, offering substantial financial awards, access to industry events, and support for project development in the Basque Autonomous Community.

Benefits

• Winning projects receive €10,000 gross each for European and Spanish competitions
• Special mention award of €3,000 for one selected project
• Finalists gain access to festival events and activities
• Accommodation for 3 nights and travel costs for one representative
• Free access to incubation space for one year at Basque Technology Park Network
• Potential funding access of up to €500,000 for project development

Eligibility Criteria

• Entrepreneurs must be over 18 and legally reside in a European country
• Startups must be established after December 31, 2019, in a European country
• Projects must focus on new technologies in the audiovisual field
• Projects should be developed in the Basque Autonomous Community
