FoodTech Challenge 3.0

About

The FoodTech Challenge 3.0 is a global competition for early-stage start-ups to develop innovative solutions that address food security in arid environments. Winners will receive a share of $2M in cash and grants, as well as in-kind support from partners, to further develop and deploy their solutions in the UAE and the Global South.

Benefits

• Unrestricted cash prize of $100,000 USD for each of the four winning start-ups
• Focused grants of $200,000 USD for each of the four winning start-ups to support testing, developing, and deploying their solutions in the UAE and a 'Global South' geography
• In-kind support from partners such as Hub71, Sheraa, and Al Tamimi & Company
• Finalists will also receive a cash prize of $15,000 USD.

Eligibility Criteria

• Have a workable minimum viable product
• Less than 5 years old
• Have fewer than 25 employees
• Have not yet raised Series A funding
• Address at least one of the three focus areas: 'Food & Water', 'Food & Energy', or 'Food Loss & Waste'.
