About

The Catalyze Tech Challenge invites high-potential enterprises in Ethiopia to develop innovative solar energy solutions aimed at improving the livelihoods of smallholder farmers and micro & small businesses, offering substantial support through an incubation program that includes financial assistance, capacity building, and mentorship, while encouraging participation from women and youth entrepreneurs to foster inclusive growth in the renewable energy sector.

Benefits

• Up to 700,000 ETB in cost-sharing support for prototype development and pilot implementations
• Capacity building support in prototype development, piloting, partnership building, business development, technical support, and mentorship
• Ongoing incubation support to implement and scale prototypes

Eligibility Criteria

• Registered enterprise with Ethiopian business license
• Compliance with local regulations
• No legal or financial liabilities
• Women and youth entrepreneurs encouraged to apply
