The Africa Agri-Food Development Programme offers matched grants of up to €250,000 to support sustainable agri-food projects in Africa, fostering partnerships between Irish and African businesses while contributing to local community benefits and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Eligibility Criteria

• Agri-food businesses must be registered in Ireland or one of 19 eligible African countries for at least 24 months prior to application
• Eligible African countries include Botswana, Côte d'Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Namibia, Nigeria, Malawi, Mozambique, Rwanda, Senegal, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe
• Joint partnership between an Irish and an African private sector organization required for Full Commercial Projects
• Projects must be commercial in nature and demonstrate sound financial management
• Applicants need an Irish Tax Clearance Certificate
