The BML Startup Grant offers Maldivian entrepreneurs the chance to win MVR 500,000 to implement innovative business ideas, with support from the Bank of Maldives for one year, fostering growth in the local startup ecosystem.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be a Maldivian citizen aged between 18 and 60
• Can apply individually or as a joint applicant
• Employees of Bank of Maldives and their immediate family members are not eligible
• Business idea must be innovative and represent a startup or newly established business
• Business should not be in operation for more than 12 months
• Applicants must not hold a shareholding position in any other registered business
• Government bodies, business entities, and other state-funded institutions are not eligible
• All applicants must be creditworthy customers of Bank of Maldives
• Must not have unresolved Anti-Money Laundering (AML) queries for over 30 days or outstanding compliance issues
