WIDU.africa, in collaboration with Sustainable Industrial Clusters II, has launched the FashionCall Ethiopia, offering local fashion entrepreneurs the chance to secure matching grants worth up to 800,000 ETB, alongside tailored business coaching, to help grow their businesses and promote sustainable practices within the fashion industry.

Benefits

• Matching grant of 2.5× investment totaling 400,000 – 800,000 ETB
• 90% disbursement upon approval and 10% upon project completion
• Three tailored business coaching sessions to enhance strategy, marketing, and operations
• No diaspora co-funding required, fully locally driven

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be 20 years or older
• Ethiopian citizenship required
• Must own a registered fashion business with a valid license for at least 2 years
• Business must employ up to 20 people
• Must be willing to invest between 160,000 – 320,000 ETB during September and October
• Engaged in fashion design including ready-to-wear, cultural wear, accessories, and bridal wear
