EVolutionS Program for EV Startups

The EVolutionS Program, launched by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) in India, aims to support startups in the electric vehicle component manufacturing sector by providing funding, industry connections, and resources to accelerate the transition of innovative prototypes into commercially viable products, thereby promoting self-reliance and localization in the EV industry.

Benefits

• Includes Rs. 20 lakhs as grant-in-aid and Rs. 30 lakhs through equity instruments

Eligibility Criteria

• Startups must be registered by DPIIT
• At least 51% shareholding by Indian promoters
• Must be an Indian company with IP residing in India
• Must have reached TRL 3-4 with a viable product
• Cannot have received more than Rs. 20 lakhs in grant support in the last 5 years
• Only one proposal per Project Leader
