African Climate Innovation Challenge

About

The African Climate Innovation Challenge 2025 invites youth-led startups from Africa to apply for up to $10,000 in funding to support innovative solutions addressing climate change, with a focus on community resilience and tailored development programs, encouraging diverse participation and collaboration among young entrepreneurs.

Eligibility Criteria

• Be legally registered in their country
• Consist of at least two team members, all of African descent and based in Africa, aged 18 to 35 years
• Focus on climate change mitigation and/or adaptation
• Be at the prototype or Minimum Viable Product (MVP) stage; ideation-stage projects are not eligible
• Ensure all team members are proficient in English or French
• Female-led teams and teams with 40-50% female participants are encouraged
