IDB Lab Opens Call for STEM Startups to Expand Their Access to Capital

The IDB Lab is inviting women-led STEM startups from Latin America and the Caribbean to apply for the Women STEMpreneurs Competition, which aims to connect them with investors and provide opportunities for growth, culminating in a presentation at an IDB Group event in El Salvador from November 30 to December 2, 2025.

• Selected startups will present at an IDB Group Innovation for Impact event in El Salvador
  Support to participate in the in-person event

Eligibility Criteria

• Startups must be women-led with at least one woman founder or leader at the C-suite level
• Open to pre-seed to Series B stage startups
• Must operate in at least one country in Latin America and/or the Caribbean
• Focus on STEM-related activities including sectors like fintech, edtech, agtech, healthtech, biotech, e-commerce, mobility, logistics, cybersecurity, clean technologies, tourism, or SaaS solutions for SMEs
• Business model should include regional or international expansion
