About

A competition offering funding and mentorship for individuals and teams focused on marine sustainability, providing up to CAD 8,000 in financial support and access to valuable industry networks and resources. Participants will engage in a customer discovery program to validate their ideas and connect with mentors who can guide them through the innovation process.

Eligibility Criteria

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Located in Canada
• Individuals or teams can apply, including those without a registered company or companies registered for less than one year
• Targeted at students, professionals, researchers, and aspiring entrepreneurs in marine sustainability
• Technology readiness level (TRL) of 3 or below is preferred

Participation Commitments

• Must submit a project proposal by the application deadline
• Participation in the customer discovery program is required if selected
• Teams must be based in Canada and focus on marine sustainability
• Must be available for mentorship sessions and networking events
