The New Jersey Innovation Fellows Program 2026 offers grants and mentorship to teams of entrepreneurs operating in New Jersey's targeted industries, providing up to $400,000 in funding and extensive support for business development.

Benefits

• Grants of $200,000 available

Eligibility Criteria

• Teams must consist of at least three individuals
• The venture must operate within New Jersey’s “Targeted Industries”
• All grant recipients must have paid gross-income tax to New Jersey within 60 days leading up to application
• At least 50% of the approved business leadership must be “first-time entrepreneurs”
• The entrepreneur leadership team must have majority equity interest (>50%) in the applicant

Participation Commitments

• Entrepreneur leadership must commit to working at the venture on a full-time basis for two years following receipt of the fellowship grant
• All grant recipients must continue to pay gross income tax to New Jersey during the program’s two-year period
• Entrepreneur leadership must participate in a mentorship program for the program’s duration
