    About

    Anthropic’s Claude Startups program supports early-stage founders building on Claude with partner credits and tools, Applied AI sessions, and community events, but its current cohort is full and new applications are closed with no reopening date announced.

    Benefits

    • 🎁Startup Stack discounts and credits
      Members can receive discounts and credits worth up to $45,000 from companies building with Claude; offers are provided by partners, subject to their terms, and actual value depends on which offers are redeemed, the member’s plan and team size
    • 🎟️Applied AI group sessions
      Members can join live group sessions with Anthropic’s Applied AI team every other week in a webinar format, including an AMA
    • 🤝Community events
      Members can receive invitations to Claude Startup events, hackathons and community meetups; event space is limited
    • 💳VC network API credits
      Startups backed by a VC in Anthropic’s partner network may be eligible for up to $100,000 in additional API credits, claimed through the VC
    • ⚠️Announced but not currently listed
      Official expansion materials state eligible members can receive a one-time $1,000 API credit and a free year of Claude Team for up to five Premium seats, but the current program page no longer lists these offers and availability for a future cohort is unconfirmed

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Mandatory: startup founded within the last five years or funded within the last two years
    • Mandatory: must not be established or operating in, or plan to make Anthropic services available to persons located in, Belarus, China, Cuba, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Crimea, or the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic or Luhansk People’s Republic, or be prohibited from participating or receiving funds/services under U.S. or other applicable laws, regulations or export controls
    • Mandatory: employees, officers, directors, agents, representatives, immediate family/household members of Anthropic and anyone connected with program operation are not eligible
    • Venture-capital backing is not required; bootstrapped, pre-seed and venture-backed startups can apply
    • The current cohort is full and new applications are not being accepted; requirements for the next cohort have not been published

    Participation Commitments

    • Apply through the Claude Console using a Claude Console account
    • Use a company email matching the company website domain; a third-party guide states Gmail or Outlook addresses are not accepted
    • Provide a short description of what you are building
    • Applications are currently closed because the current cohort is full; Anthropic has not announced when applications will reopen
    • Subscribe to the Claude Startup newsletter on the program page to hear when applications open for the next cohort
    • Current members retain access to Startup Stack offers, Applied AI sessions every other week, and event, hackathon and community invitations
    • Claude Startups credits apply only to the first-party Claude API through the Claude Console and cannot be used on AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or other third-party platforms
    • Anthropic’s program terms state applicants are selected on a rolling basis, but the current cohort is not accepting new applications

    Target Region

    Applicant companies must be in a country where Anthropic’s services are supported and must not be established or operating in, or plan to make Anthropic services available to persons located in, Belarus, China, Cuba, Iran, Myanmar, North Korea, Russia, Sudan, Syria, Crimea, or the so-called Donetsk People’s Republic or Luhansk People’s Republic, or otherwise be prohibited under applicable sanctions/export controls; Indian founders are reported as eligible subject to these conditions, but Anthropic’s authoritative supported-country list still requires verification.
