    The Interdisciplinary Science Program in Research and Entrepreneurship (INSPIRE) at the University of Toronto Mississauga offers undergraduate students a unique opportunity to delve into cutting-edge research in the Life Sciences, preparing them for graduate school and beyond while fostering diversity and innovation.

    Benefits

    • Participants will be educated in cutting-edge quantitative biophysical, mathematical, and computational techniques in the Life Sciences. They will engage in hands-on modules within faculty research labs, work on projects from single proteins to microbial systems, receive training in research translation and innovation, meet entrepreneurial scientists, and participate in workshops within SpinUp, U of T’s Life Sciences incubator.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • The program is primarily for third- and fourth-year undergraduate students interested in pursuing graduate school in Physics, Chemistry, or Cell and Systems Biology. Exceptional second-year undergraduates with experience in physics/chemistry/quantitative biology are also encouraged to apply. The program is committed to fostering diversity and inclusion, welcoming applications from Indigenous, Black, or racially visible individuals.
