    A competition providing aspiring entrepreneurs in North Carolina with the opportunity to win up to $60,000 in funding while receiving structured training, mentorship, and access to essential business resources. Participants will engage in an eight-week online course, receive personalized advising, and have the chance to showcase their business concepts through a professionally produced pitch video.

    Eligibility Criteria

    • Must reside in North Carolina and plan to start a business in North Carolina
    • Must be 18 years of age or older
    • Must have a new for-profit business concept not formally established before May 12, 2026
    • Must complete three hours of business counseling with a local SBC Counselor/Director or participate in a pre-approved SBCN Statewide Online Webinar
    • Must obtain one letter of recommendation from an SBC Director or designee and two additional letters of recommendation from local community members
    • Must submit a video (max three minutes) introducing yourself and your business concept.

    Participation Commitments

    • Must participate in an eight-session, online, multi-instructor-led program from May 12 – July 7, 2026
    • Must not miss more than two classes and must participate in all required in-person activities and events
    • Must submit final business plans and pitch decks by July 14, 2026.
